Getting Your Home Ready To Sell

Every seller wants their home to sell quickly and for the most money possible. Don’t just rely on
luck to make it happen. Careful planning and preparation will go a long way with selling your
home. Here are a few tips to make it happen:

Declutter
Decluttering your home is very important when listing your home for sale. Boxing up some of
your things will give buyers a better idea of the space that is available and can also make some
spaces look bigger. Remove little knickknacks and clean off the kitchen counter to give buyers a
better view. This also gives you the opportunity to get rid of or donate the things that maybe
haven’t been used in a few years. You will also be moving in a short period of time so why not
start packing up now?

Make minor repairs.
Now is the time to fix those little things that you were always going to get to in your spare time.
Things like leaky faucets, doors that don’t close properly, and holes in your drywall are some of
the repairs that can make a big difference when buyers view your home.

Make your home sparkle!
Deep cleaning your home can be one of the best return on your investments. This may require
hiring a professional cleaning crew to clean things like windows, inside and out, pressure wash
the exterior of your home as well as sidewalks and driveways. Kitchens are a very important
point to potential buyers, so making your kitchen as spotless and uncluttered as possible is key.

Work with an agent
Statistics show that working with a Realtor® will net you 22% more (according to the NAR) than
trying to sell your home by yourself. We have your best interest in mind. We help you through
the negotiations, pricing your home correctly, and marketing your home the best we can to
ensure you get the most possible for your home. If you need help with these things I would be
more than happy to help.
